Steps

Steps is an upcoming animated family comedy and fantasy film. The story reimagines a classic fairy tale from the perspective of Lilith, one of the stepsisters. After being accused of disrupting the Royal Ball with a stolen magic wand, Lilith accidentally transforms her sister Margot into a frog. This event leaves the kingdom under the control of a mean girl obsessed with the prince. To restore order and save the realm, Lilith must form an alliance with Cinderella and a charming troll to prove that misunderstood characters can also find a happy ending.

The film is co-directed by Alyce Tzue and Priscilla Wong, with a screenplay written by Ava Tramer, James Madejski, and Jen Chuck. Produced by Kim Lessing, Jane Hartwell, and Amy Poehler, the project is a collaboration between Netflix Animation and Paper Kite Productions. The voice cast features Ali Wong as Lilith, Amanda Seyfried as Cinderella, and Stephanie Hsu as Margot. Other credited cast members include Bette Midler as the Fairy Godmother, Nikki Glaser as Priscilla, and Peter Dinklage as Roderick. The production involved a credited crew of 49 people.
