The Land Before Time II: The Great Valley Adventure

The Land Before Time II: The Great Valley Adventure follows the young dinosaur Littlefoot and his friends, who live in the sheltered Great Valley under the watch of their parents. Restless and tired of being treated like babies, the group slips away and ventures beyond the valley's safety. Their outing brings them into contact with two egg-stealing dinosaurs, and the children end up caring for an egg they recover. When it hatches, they discover the baby is a Sharptooth, the kind of predator they have been raised to fear. Rather than turn him away, they name him Chomper and try to raise him among themselves.

The film is an animated family adventure directed by Roy Allen Smith, who also produced it, from a screenplay by John Loy, Dev Ross and John Ludin. It was the first of three Land Before Time sequels Smith directed in consecutive years, followed by The Time of the Great Giving and Journey Through the Mists. The voice cast includes Scott McAfee as Littlefoot, Candace Hutson as Cera, Heather Hogan as Ducky, Jeff Bennett and Rob Paulsen in multiple roles, and Linda Gary as Grandma.

Released in December 1994 and running 73 minutes, the film holds a rating of 5.9 on IMDb from around 11,000 votes and 6.3 on TMDB from a few hundred votes, indicating a modest but enduring audience for the sequel.
