Nobita is worn down by recurring nightmares, so he asks Doraemon for a device that will let him choose his own dreams. The first attempt, a dream about the lost city of Atlantis, does not go as planned. He then settles on a fantasy kingdom modelled on The Three Musketeers, casting himself and his friends as swashbuckling heroes. The imagined adventure turns dangerous when a villainous king threatens to escape from Nobita's dream and spread into the dreams of others, leaving Nobita to fight both inside the fantasy and in his waking life.
