Triloka is a family drama consisting of three short stories. The film examines the experiences of second-generation members of the Indian diaspora as they navigate the tension between two different cultures. These characters seek personal fulfillment beyond simple survival, leading to clashes within and across generations. The central conflicts focus on equality, self-expression, and the financial expectations placed upon children to support their elders, as family members refuse to compromise their ambitions.
The production was a joint effort between India and Switzerland, produced by 4Emotions Entertainment. The film was directed by Rajesh James, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Viji James. With a runtime of 101 minutes, the movie explores the complexities of immigrant identity and familial duty through its episodic structure.
