Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo is a 2006 animated action film based on the DC Comics superhero team. When a masked, high-tech ninja attacks the Titans Tower in Jump City, Robin and his teammates capture the intruder, only to have him escape. Robin learns the ninja was sent by Brushogun, a mysterious Japanese crime figure, and the group travels to Tokyo to track him down. There they encounter a city full of unfamiliar customs and face a threat with roots deeper than they expected. The film belongs to the Teen Titans animated series and was released as a TV movie.
The movie runs 75 minutes and was directed by Michael Chang, Ben Jones and Matt Youngberg. For Chang and Jones it was their first feature directing credit, preceding Superman vs. The Elite and Big Top Scooby-Doo! respectively. David Slack wrote the screenplay and produced alongside Linda Steiner and Glen Murakami. The voice cast includes Scott Menville as Robin, Hynden Walch as Starfire, Khary Payton as Cyborg, Tara Strong as Raven and Greg Cipes as Beast Boy, with Robert Ito in supporting roles.
Reception has been positive. On IMDb it holds a rating of 7 out of 10 from roughly 7,700 votes, while on TMDB it scores 7.9 out of 10 from 478 votes. The audience scores from both platforms place it among the more warmly received entries in the franchise.
