Short description

Ko Chun, a renowned gambler, loses his memory in an accident and starts behaving like a child. Little Knife, an amateur gambler, offers him shelter and realizes that he has a penchant for gambling.

During filming, the lead actors, Chow Yun-Fat and Andy Lau, performed all the complex card manipulations themselves.
The card game played by the characters is five-card stud poker, popular in the US from 1900 to 1960, but now virtually unknown.
The cheating technique used in the film is real and is called "hand mucking".
