Static Hours is a Canadian horror film that follows a cinema student during a single sleepless night. As he struggles to complete a horror project, he faces extreme fatigue, corrupted video files, and hallucinations of flashing lights. By the time morning arrives, these visions have unexpectedly altered the final version of his movie.
The short film was written and directed by Stefano Francella and produced by Saxon Shum through Humber Polytechnic. The cast features Kashan Rehan in the lead role as the student, with Carmen Durand, Jose Angela Alcano, and Angela Alcano appearing as girls within the student's horror film. This genre-bending production blends elements of science fiction and thriller into a four-minute runtime.
