A Soviet space station crashes into the subway tunnels of New York City, releasing a previously unknown species of poisonous spiders. These creatures rapidly mutate into giant monsters that emerge from the underground shafts to cause chaos and destruction throughout the city.

The science fiction thriller was directed by Tibor Takács, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Joseph Farrugia.
