Curse of Chucky

Curse of Chucky follows Nica, a young woman who uses a wheelchair and lives with her mother. After her mother dies under circumstances that are not clear, Nica's sister Barb arrives at the family home with her husband Ian, their young daughter Alice and a nanny. Alice has found a red-haired talking doll that came in the mail, and once the doll is in the house, people around Nica begin to die violently. Nica comes to suspect the toy is connected to the killings, though she does not realise the doll has its own reasons for being there. The film was written and directed by Don Mancini, who also produced it with David Kirschner. It is the sixth entry in the Child's Play series and came after Seed of Chucky, which Mancini directed, and before Cult of Chucky. Brad Dourif returns as the voice of Chucky, while his daughter Fiona Dourif plays Nica; Danielle Bisutti, Summer H. Howell, Brennan Elliott and Maitland McConnell appear in supporting roles. Made for 5 million dollars, the film took about 4 million dollars at the worldwide box office. On IMDb it holds 5.6 out of 10 from around 47,000 votes, and on TMDB 6 out of 10 from roughly 1,700 votes, while a smaller group of critics rated it 6.3 out of 10.
