Bleach the Movie: The DiamondDust Rebellion

The Soul Society's prized artifact, the King's Seal, is stolen while being transported, and Captain Toushirou Hitsugaya of the Tenth Division is tasked with recovering it. After a battle with the thieves, Hitsugaya vanishes, and Seireitei concludes he has turned traitor, ordering his arrest and execution. Ichigo Kurosaki, Rangiku Matsumoto, Rukia Kuchiki and Renji Abarai refuse to accept that verdict and set out to find him. The second Bleach feature film, released in December 2007, is directed by Noriyuki Abe and written by Michiko Yokote and Masahiro Okubo, with animation by Pierrot.

Abe's second Bleach theatrical outing, it followed Memories of Nobody and sits between that film and Fade to Black in his sequence of Bleach features. The voice cast returns Masakazu Morita as Ichigo and Romi Park as Hitsugaya, alongside Fumiko Orikasa, Kentaro Ito, Kaya Matsutani and Akira Ishida. The runtime of 95 minutes and worldwide box office of around 7 million dollars position it as a modestly scaled theatrical spin-off of a long-running series.

On TMDB it holds a 6.8 average from roughly 200 votes, indicating a mixed but generally favourable audience response.
