The Ballad of Jack and Rose
Short description
Jack Slavin and his teenage daughter, Rose, live a secluded life on a remote island. Jack, an environmentalist suffering from a serious heart condition, has spent years shielding Rose from the outside world. Conflict arises when Jack attempts to integrate more people into their lives by inviting his girlfriend, Kathleen, and her two sons to move in. This decision, combined with Jack's health struggles and his battles against local developers, creates a tense and unstable family dynamic that Rose finds difficult to accept.
