Bleach the Movie: Fade to Black

A mysterious explosion of reishi devastates the Seireitei in the Soul Society, and at the same moment something changes within Rukia Kuchiki, who begins to fade from the memories of everyone around her. When Ichigo Kurosaki senses danger in the world of the living, he travels to the Soul Society to investigate, only to find that the Soul Reapers no longer recognize him and blame him for the destruction. Hunted by former allies and left to rely on himself, he searches for the missing Rukia and tries to uncover what really happened.

The film is the third theatrical entry in the Bleach series, released in December 2008 and directed by Noriyuki Abe, who had already helmed the two previous Bleach films, Memories of Nobody and The DiamondDust Rebellion. Masakazu Morita voices Ichigo, with Kentaro Ito as Renji Abarai, Mitsuaki Madono as Kon, and Aya Hirano and Hiroshi Kamiya as Homura and Shizuku. It runs 94 minutes.

The film took about 6 million USD worldwide. On IMDb it holds a rating of 7.1 from roughly 3,200 votes, and on TMDB it also sits at 7.1, from about 205 votes, so the two audiences agree closely on it.
