Raze follows Sabrina, a woman who is abducted and wakes in an underground compound where she and dozens of other kidnapped women are forced to fight each other with their bare hands for the entertainment of unseen spectators. Each captive has someone she cares about held over her, so refusing to take part carries its own punishment. Sabrina joins forces with Jamie and a few of the others in an attempt to resist their captors and get out.
The film is the first feature directed by Josh C. Waller, who later made McCanick and Lone Samurai. Robert Beaucage wrote the screenplay, and the producers include Andrew Pagana, Josh C. Waller and star Zoë Bell. Bell, known for stunt work, plays Sabrina, with Rachel Nichols as Jamie, Rebecca Marshall as Phoebe, Amy Johnston as Gloria, Sherilyn Fenn as Elizabeth and Doug Jones as Joseph among a credited cast of 23.
Raze runs 92 minutes and was released in 2013. It holds a 5.1 rating on TMDB from 182 votes and a critics' rating of 4.8 from 31 reviews, a narrow gap in which neither group responded strongly. The film comes from Quincy Pictures and Cinipix, and it was made in the United States.
