Short description
Sophie, a quiet and shy maid working for an upper-class French family, finds a friend in the energetic and uncompromising postmaster Jeanne, who encourages her to stand up against her bourgeois employers.
What's left behind the scenes
- The second adaptation of Ruth Rendell's (1930-2015) novel "A Judgement in Stone" (1977). The first, and less successful, adaptation was in 1986. It was the only film directed by Usama Rawi.
