Doraemon: Nobita and the Haunts of Evil

Nobita and his friends use a magic door to travel to a fog-covered region in Africa known as the Heavy Smokers Forest. While there, they encounter a stray dog who is actually a prince from a hidden canine kingdom. After arriving in this secret empire, the group finds that a cruel advisor has seized power and accused the prince of a crime. To help the prince and survive against a canine army, the children must rely on their wits after losing most of their technological tools.

Directed by Hideo Nishimaki, this film followed his 1981 project, Doraemon: The Record of Nobita, Spaceblazer. The screenplay was written by Fujiko F. Fujio. The voice cast features Nobuyo Oyama as Doraemon and Noriko Ohara as Nobita, alongside Michiko Nomura, Kazuya Tatekabe, Kaneta Kimotsuki, and Sumiko Shirakawa. The production involved Shin-Ei Animation, Shogakukan, and TV Asahi, employing a credited crew of 66 and a cast of 24.
