Decoys is a Canadian horror and science fiction film about two college freshmen, Luke and Roger, who are focused on losing their virginity. Their plans are complicated when Luke notices something strange about the attractive women who have appeared on campus and comes to suspect that they may not be human. As students begin turning up dead under unusual circumstances, Luke and a friend, Alex, look into who these women really are. The story is set at a university in a small North American town.
Matthew Hastings directed the film and wrote the screenplay with Tom Berry. It was Hastings's first feature as director, followed by the 2006 television film Engaged to Kill. The cast includes Corey Sevier as Luke, Elias Toufexis as Roger, Kim Poirier as Constance, Stefanie von Pfetten as Lilly and Meghan Ory as Alex. The production was Canadian, backed by Téléfilm Canada, The Movie Network, Movie Central and Super Écran, on a budget of about five million dollars, with 32 credited cast members and 48 credited crew members.
Decoys runs 95 minutes. On TMDB it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 10 from 129 votes, while a critics' rating stands at 4.1 out of 10 from 153 reviews.
