Hello-Goodbye

Harry England, a British car salesman, travels to France and meets a woman he takes to be alone. His courtship goes well until he learns she is the wife of Baron De Choisis. The baron, who accepts an open marriage, hires Harry to teach his teenage son from an earlier marriage about automobiles at the family's country estate. Harry and the baroness resume their affair there, and Harry falls in love with her and asks her to leave her husband, while the baron pursues a relationship of his own.

Hello-Goodbye is a British comedy romance directed by Jean Negulesco, released in 1970. It is the eighth of the eight films by him listed here, arriving after Jessica in 1962 and following a run that includes How to Marry a Millionaire, Titanic and Three Coins in the Fountain. Roger Marshall wrote the screenplay, André Hakim produced, and the production came from 20th Century Fox and Darryl F. Zanuck Productions. Michael Crawford plays Harry, with Curd Jürgens as the baron, Geneviève Gilles as Dany de Choisis, Peter Myers, Ira von Fürstenberg and Mike Marshall rounding out the main cast.
