The Ewok Adventure

The Ewok Adventure follows the Towani family after their spacecraft crashes on the forest moon of Endor. The parents, Catarine and Jeremitt, are captured by a giant known as Gorax, leaving their children, Mace and Cindel, stranded. The children are found by Ewoks, the small furry inhabitants of the moon, and gradually learn to communicate with them. Wicket, a young Ewok, and his companions agree to help Mace and Cindel reach Gorax's territory and rescue their parents. The journey pits the group against various dangers of the forest, and the two children come to rely on their new allies.

The film was directed by John Korty, whose earlier features were The People and Silence; this was his third directorial effort, released in 1984 and followed much later by They in 1993. Bob Carrau wrote the screenplay, Thomas G. Smith produced, and the 23 credited cast members include Eric Walker as Mace, Aubree Miller as Cindel, Warwick Davis as Wicket, Fionnula Flanagan and Guy Boyd as the parents, and Daniel Frishman as Deej Warrick. Produced by Lucasfilm and Korty Films, it was made for television on a budget of 3 million dollars and is a family adventure in the Star Wars universe.

On IMDb the film holds a rating of 5.3 out of 10 from around 13,000 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 5.8 out of 10 from 434 votes. A critics' rating of 4.5 out of 10 from 66 reviews places it below the audience scores on both platforms.
