Three brothers trained in ninjutsu by their grandfather leave a championship baseball game when they learn he is in danger, and travel to Japan to help him. There they face an old adversary of their grandfather who has returned seeking revenge. The film is a family action comedy set largely in Japan, following the boys as they rely on the skills their grandfather taught them.
Charles T. Kanganis directed this 1994 sequel, which is the first film listed among his directorial credits, ahead of Dennis the Menace Strikes Again!, K-911 and Impulse. Victor Wong appears as Grandpa, with Max Elliott Slade as Colt, Sean Fox as Rocky, J. Evan Bonifant as Tum Tum, Caroline Junko King as Miyo and Dustin Nguyen as Glam. The credited cast runs to 48 performers. Mark Saltzman and Shin Sang-ok wrote the screenplay, and Masao Nagai, Martha W. Chang and James Kang produced for TriStar Pictures with Sheen Productions and Leeds/Ben-Ami Productions.
Made for a budget of 20 million USD, the film took about 12 million USD worldwide, less than its production cost. On IMDb it holds a rating of 4.6 from around 11,000 votes, while on TMDB its rating is 5.7 from 337 votes, and film critics gave it 3.8 out of 10 across 13 reviews, so audiences have rated it somewhat more generously than critics. The runtime is 93 minutes.
