Following a fatal airplane crash that kills her boyfriend, a young woman named Kurumi falls into a deep depression. To help her overcome her grief and loneliness, a scientist creates an advanced android designed to look and act like her lost partner. As the robot integrates into her life, it attempts to understand human existence and the history of the relationship it was built to replace.
