Dou kyu sei – Classmates

Rihito Sajo is a top student who scores perfectly on his entrance exams but stays silent during his school's choir rehearsals. His classmate Hikaru Kusakabe, who plays in a band and is popular with girls, notices and assumes Rihito simply dislikes singing. After Hikaru catches him practicing alone in an empty classroom, he offers to help. The two begin meeting regularly after school, and as they work on the music together, their feelings for each other move beyond friendship. The story follows the boys through their remaining school days and toward adulthood.
