Inspector Gadget 2

Inspector Gadget 2 is a 2003 family action comedy directed by Alex Zamm. It follows the bionic policeman John Brown, known as Inspector Gadget, after the arrest of his long-time enemy Claw. With crime seemingly under control, the authorities decide to replace him with a newer model: G2, a highly advanced female robot. Gadget is ordered to stay away from active cases, but when Claw escapes from prison and begins planning a major robbery, he cannot stay on the sidelines, especially once his niece Penny is drawn into the danger.

The film stars French Stewart as Gadget, Elaine Hendrix as G2, Tony Martin as Claw, Caitlin Wachs as Penny, Mark Mitchell as Chief Quimby and Sigrid Thornton as Mayor Wilson. It was written by Ron Anderson, Alex Zamm and William Robertson, and produced by Charles Hirschhorn and Peter M. Green for Walt Disney Pictures and related companies across Australia and the United States. It runs 89 minutes.

Made for around 12 million dollars and released directly to home video, the film sits at the start of Alex Zamm's directing career, before the several family sequels and television films he went on to make. It received a critics' rating of 4.4/10 from five reviews, while audiences rated it 3.5/10 on IMDb from around 7,800 votes and 4.2/10 on TMDB from over 400 votes, indicating a generally poor reception from both critics and viewers.
