Wolf Creek 2

Three backpackers travel to the remote Wolf Creek Crater, a meteorite site in the Australian Outback, expecting an adventure. Instead they run into Mick Taylor, a local who has made the area notorious, and their trip turns into a fight to survive as he hunts them across the wasteland.

Wolf Creek 2 is an Australian horror thriller directed by Greg McLean, who wrote the screenplay with Aaron Sterns and produced it with Helen Leake and Steve Topic. It followed his debut Wolf Creek and his crocodile thriller Rogue, and was released in 2013. John Jarratt returns as Mick Taylor, the role he originated in the first film, while Ryan Corr appears as Paul Hammersmith, Shannon Ashlyn and Philippe Klaus play the German travellers Katarina Schmidt and Rutger Enqvist, and Ben Gerrard and Shane Connor feature as police officers.

Made for about 7 million US dollars, the film took roughly 4 million at the worldwide box office, less than its reported cost. On IMDb it holds 6.2 out of 10 from around 25,000 votes, and on TMDB 6.4 out of 10 from about 733 votes, placing audience feeling somewhere around the middle. A critics' rating of 5.7 out of 10 from 51 reviews sits below both audience scores.
