The Sparrow's Fluttering

After the death of her partner, Silvana considers leaving her small Italian village. A wealthy widower named Gabriele offers her a comfortable home and financial security, but only on the condition that she listens to his stories about his past romantic encounters. As Silvana hears these accounts, they begin to merge with her own experiences, leading her to accept her role as a listener for the older man.

This drama and romance was directed by Gianfranco Mingozzi, who also directed Flavia the Heretic in 1974. The screenplay was written by Mingozzi along with Tonino Guerra and Roberto Roversi.
