Super Capers

Ed Gruberman has no superpowers, but that does not stop him from wanting to be a superhero. He joins a team of inexperienced heroes-in-training and, armed mainly with faith in himself, ends up travelling through time to unravel a criminal scheme involving gold bullion, a dangerous woman and a mastermind who knows more about Ed's past than Ed does.

Super Capers is a 2009 American adventure comedy with science-fiction elements, written and directed by Ray Griggs, who also produced it with Reuben Lim. It was Griggs's first feature as director, and he went on to make further films afterwards. Justin Whalin plays Ed, heading a cast of 32 credited performers that includes Sam Lloyd, Ryan McPartlin, Danielle Harris, Chris Owen and Michael Rooker. The running time is 98 minutes.

The film found little favour. Its critics' rating stands at 2.6 out of 10 from 18 reviews, while audiences on IMDb give it 3.2 out of 10 from around 1,200 votes and on TMDB 3.3 out of 10 from 18 votes, so viewers and critics alike place it at the low end of the scale.
