Death Train

A renegade Russian general, Konstantin Benin, has acquired nuclear warheads and uses a hijacked train to move them across Europe, aiming to force the return of the Soviet Union through nuclear blackmail. As the train rolls toward the Middle East, the United Nations assembles a team of agents from several countries to stop it. Among them is Michael "Mike" Graham, who joins the mission to board the moving train and disarm the weapons before the terrorists can carry out their threat.

The film is a 1993 action thriller directed by David Jackson, who also wrote the screenplay and produced it with Peter Snell. Pierce Brosnan plays Mike Graham, Patrick Stewart appears as Malcolm Philpott, Alexandra Paul plays Sabrina Carver, Ted Levine plays Alex Tierney, Christopher Lee plays General Benin, and John Abineri plays Dr. Karl Leitzig. It was made for television in the United Kingdom and the United States, with a runtime of about 100 minutes.

Death Train was Jackson's first directorial credit. Audience response has been muted: on IMDb it holds a rating of 5.2 from roughly 4,400 votes, while on TMDB its rating is 5 out of 10 from a much smaller base of 83 votes, indicating a modest and mixed reception rather than wide acclaim.
