Rugrats Go Wild

Rugrats Go Wild follows the babies of the Rugrats series after a family cruise goes wrong and leaves them stranded on a remote tropical island. There they cross paths with the Thornberrys, the wildlife-documentary family from their own television series, who set aside their filming to help the children find a way home. The two groups have to work together while adjusting to a jungle world far removed from their usual surroundings.

The film is an animated adventure directed by Norton Virgien and John Eng, written by Kate Boutilier and produced by Gábor Csupó and Arlene Klasky. Virgien's credits place it between The Rugrats Movie, which he directed in 1998, and Curious George 2: Follow That Monkey! from 2009. The voice cast includes Elizabeth Daily, Nancy Cartwright, Kath Soucie, Dionne Quan, Joe Alaskey and Tim Curry. Twenty-four cast members and forty-nine crew members are credited.

Made for 25 million US dollars, the film took in about 55 million dollars worldwide, roughly doubling its production cost. On IMDb it holds 5.6 out of 10 from around 9,600 votes, while on TMDB it has 6.4 out of 10 from roughly 345 votes. A film critics' rating of 5.2 out of 10 from 87 reviews places it close to the audience scores, with viewers on both sites slightly more favourable and the larger IMDb sample less so.
