Naruto Shippuden the Movie

An ancient demon that previously nearly destroyed the world has been brought back to life. To prevent a global catastrophe, the creature must be sealed away by Shion, a priestess from the Land of Demons who possesses the unique ability to banish demons and foresee human death. Naruto and his teammates, Sakura, Lee, and Neji, are tasked with protecting her from the demon's forces. However, Shion predicts that Naruto will die soon. Because the only way to avoid this fate is to stay away from the priestess, Naruto must choose between his own survival and the safety of the woman whose death would signal the end of the world.

Directed by Hajime Kamegaki, this 2007 action and fantasy animation is the second of five films he directed, following Office Ladies Remodelling Lecture. The voice cast features Junko Takeuchi, Chie Nakamura, Yōichi Masukawa, Koichi Tochika, and Ayumi Fujimura. Produced by companies including Aniplex and Pierrot, the film earned 13 million USD at the worldwide box office.
