Short description
Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny follows JB, a young man from a strict religious home in Kickapoo who leaves for Hollywood determined to become a rock star. In Venice Beach he meets KG, a fellow aspiring musician, and the two form the band Tenacious D. When their talent fails to bring them success, they learn of a magic guitar pick said to hold the secret behind every great rock band and set off to steal it from a rock-and-roll museum roughly 300 miles away. The film is a comedy fantasy adventure built around the duo's music.
It was directed by Liam Lynch, who wrote the screenplay with Jack Black and Kyle Gass, who also produced alongside Stuart Cornfeld.
