Salomé

This drama follows the biblical story of Salomé, a young woman who performs the Dance of the Seven Veils for King Herod. After the king promises to grant her any request, Salomé demands the execution of John the Baptist, who had previously rejected her. Driven by her own desires and the influence of her mother, Herodias, she asks for the prophet's head to be delivered on a silver platter.

Written and directed by Al Pacino, the film is his third directorial effort following Looking for Richard and Chinese Coffee. The production featured Jessica Chastain in the title role, with Al Pacino also appearing as King Herod. The cast includes Kevin Anderson as John the Baptist and Roxanne Hart as Herodias. The movie was produced in the United States by Barry Navidi Productions and Stonelock Pictures.
