Roxie Santos is a gifted young singer who hopes to turn her passion into a career. After meeting music producer Eddie Marz, she is promised a record deal and a lavish lifestyle. In exchange, Roxie agrees to secretly provide the vocals for a famous celebrity who lacks singing ability. The arrangement turns sour as the celebrity rises to fame using Roxie's talent, leading the singer to fight to uncover the truth and reclaim her professional identity.
