Trattoria is a drama centered on Sal Sartini, a chef who runs an upscale restaurant and hopes to be recognized by local critics or the Michelin guide. Sal is preoccupied with the possibility of being named one of the top one hundred restaurants. This tension extends to his relationship with his son, Vince. While Vince wants to explore his culinary skills by experimenting with traditional Italian family recipes, Sal believes the proper way to train his son is through menial labor, such as cleaning toilets and washing dishes. This disagreement leads Vince to seek other ways to express his talents.
The film was directed by Jason Wolos, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Dawn Rich. The cast features Tony Denison, known for The Closer, in the role of Sal, alongside John Patrick Amedori as Vince. Other cast members include Kandis Fay, Lisa Rotondi, Richard Conti, and Nick Frangione. Produced in the United States by Trattoria Productions and Fog City Pictures, the movie has a runtime of 80 minutes. Since its release in September 2013, the film has received a rating of 5.8/10 on IMDb based on 217 votes.
