The Legend of Sarila

To save their starving clan, three young Inuits set out on a journey to find Sarila, a legendary land hidden among glaciers where food is plentiful. According to tradition, only those with pure hearts can enter this paradise. As the group travels, they are opposed by the clan's shaman, who views one of the young travelers as a threat to his own power and uses dark forces to hinder their mission.

This Canadian animated adventure was directed by Nancy Florence Savard, marking the first of two films she has directed, followed by Lydia and the Mist Rider in 2026. The screenplay was written by Roger Harvey, Paul Risacher, and Pierre Tremblay. The voice cast includes Christopher Plummer, Rachelle Lefevre, Dustin Milligan, Tim Rozon, Geneviève Bujold, and James Kidnie.
