A former Louisiana police officer, Jack Robideaux, takes a job with the border patrol in New Mexico, where heroin smuggling across the Mexican line has become the area's most serious problem. The traffickers have brought in skilled mercenaries with American special forces backgrounds, and the new patrolman finds himself facing men who were once his comrades. What begins as police work turns personal, and Robideaux pursues the gang on both sides of the border.
Isaac Florentine directed the film, which sits third in the directing credits listed here, after Bridge of Dragons and Undisputed II: Last Man Standing and before Ninja. Joe Gayton and Cade Courtley wrote the screenplay, and Jean-Claude Van Damme leads the cast as Robideaux, joined by Stephen Lord, Natalie J. Robb, Gary McDonald, Phil McKee and Scott Adkins. Made for about 9 million dollars as a television film for Sony's home entertainment arm, it runs 95 minutes.
On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.5 from roughly 7,800 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 6.2 from around 239 votes, a small and far less representative sample, so the two figures reflect different audiences rather than a single consensus.
