Short description
Darren Shan is a regular teenage kid. He and his friend Steve find out about a Freak Show coming to town and work hard at trying to find tickets. They do, and together they go to "Cirque du Freak" where they see many strange acts including a wolf-man and a bearded lady

- The film is based on the book series "Cirque du Freak" by Darren Shan (Cirque du Freak: The Saga of Darren Shan, 2000-2006).
- Ken Watanabe’s character is a reference to Chang Shih-ch’uan. He was a Chinese man of enormous size in Barnum’s circus in the 19th century. It was claimed that his height exceeded 2 meters 44 centimeters.
