Littlefoot and his friends are used to being the smallest dinosaurs in the Great Valley, but that changes when a group of tiny dinosaurs arrives and starts eating a rare flowering tree that the adults have been saving. The grown-ups blame the newcomers and set out to drive them away, while Littlefoot learns that a small lie of his own has helped make trouble worse. He ends up defending the tiny creatures, and the story turns on how trust can be rebuilt once it has been broken.
The film is the eleventh entry in The Land Before Time series and the eighth of them directed by Charles Grosvenor, coming between The Great Longneck Migration and The Great Day of the Flyers. John Loy wrote the screenplay, and Grosvenor also produced. The voice cast includes Aaron Spann as Littlefoot, Anndi McAfee as Cera, Aria Noelle Curzon as Ducky, Jeff Bennett as Petrie, Rob Paulsen as Spike, and John Ingle as the narrator and Cera's father.
Released in January 2005, it runs eighty-two minutes. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.5 from roughly 2,200 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.3 from about 209 votes. The smaller TMDB sample is noticeably warmer, though neither figure points to a strong reception for this instalment of the long-running series.
