Short description
A team of Arctic researchers find a 40,000 year-old man frozen in ice and bring him back to life. Anthropologist Dr. Stanley Shephard wants to befriend the Iceman and learn about the man's past while Dr. Diane Brady and her surgical team want to discover the secret that will allow man to live in a frozen state.
What's left behind the scenes
- In the 1970s, there was a belief that Norman Jewison would soon direct the film "The Frozen Man," but it ended up being directed by Fred Schepisi, with Jewison serving as a producer on the project.
- Studio executives and producer Daniel Melnick insisted on Fred Schepisi's dismissal. This happened after Schepisi firmly promised to film the ending of the movie as written in the original script, but failed to do so.
