Maan Karate

Five friends encounter a mystic in a forest who fulfils their wish by giving them a newspaper from the future. Deciding to use their knowledge of coming events to get rich, they fix their attention on Peter, an easygoing young man from Royapuram. The newspaper predicts that Peter will win a boxing match and hand over prize money of two crore rupees to the group. They are confused when they learn that Peter knows nothing at all about boxing.

Maan Karate is a 2014 Indian romantic film directed and written by Krish Thirukumaran, who also wrote the screenplay. It was produced by P. Madhan and A. R. Murugadoss, the latter appearing in a special role. Sivakarthikeyan plays Peter, with Hansika Motwani as Yazhini, Soori as Tyger Tyson, Vamsi Krishna as a rival figure and Sayaji Shinde as Yazhini's father. The film, running 154 minutes, came out in April 2014. It was Thirukumaran's first feature, preceding Retta Thala in his filmography, which places it at the start of a directing career.

Audience response has been modest. On IMDb, the film holds 5.3 out of 10 from roughly two thousand two hundred votes, while on TMDB it stands at 4.8 out of 10 from about twenty votes. Those figures point to a small and largely unenthusiastic viewership rather than a widely embraced release.
