Cleopatra Jones

Cleopatra Jones is a United States government agent who works undercover as a fashion model. When she arranges for a poppy field in Turkey to be destroyed, she earns the enmity of Mommy, the drug baron who owned it. Mommy retaliates by using her ties to corrupt police officers to discredit a drug rehabilitation clinic run by Reuben, a man close to Cleo. The conflict moves back to the United States, where Cleo must confront Mommy and her organization directly.

The 1973 action crime thriller was directed by Jack Starrett, the second of the two films he directed, following The Losers in 1970. Max Julien and Sheldon Keller wrote the screenplay, and William Tennant produced for Warner Bros. Pictures and William Tennant Productions. Tamara Dobson plays Cleopatra Jones, with Bernie Casey as Reuben, Shelley Winters as Mommy, Brenda Sykes as Tiffany, Antonio Fargas as Doodlebug and Dan Frazer as Crawford. The film runs 89 minutes and carries 77 credited cast and 91 credited crew members.
