The Surf

Shinji, a lonely young man, falls in love with Hatsue, a pearl diver he meets on the beach. Their relationship faces opposition from Hatsue's father, who forbids them from seeing each other after Yasuo, a rival for the girl's affection, spreads malicious rumors about Shinji. The situation improves when Shinji rescues passengers from a boat owned by Hatsue's father.
