Ana and Bruno

Nine-year-old Ana travels with her mother, Carmen, to a remote beach hoping for rest and a first encounter with the sea. Once there, Ana realizes the two of them are in serious danger, and she must seek out her father's help to save her mother. The story unfolds as an animated mix of adventure, fantasy and mystery, following Ana through a world of unusual companions as she tries to reach him in time.

Carlos Carrera directed the film, his first in the facts' chronological list of his work, ahead of Confessions and Dark Blue, Celestial Blue. The screenplay is by Daniel Emil, and the voice cast includes Galia Mayer as Ana, Silverio Palacios, Marina de Tavira, Damián Alcázar, Héctor Bonilla and Daniel Carrera, with 23 credited performers in total. It is a co-production involving companies from Argentina, Brazil, India, Mexico and the United States, and runs 96 minutes.

The film has drawn a mixed-to-positive response from viewers: on IMDb it holds 6.7 out of 10 from roughly 1,100 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 7.6 out of 10 from a much smaller group of about 96. The gap reflects the difference in sample size, with the larger IMDb pool settling at a moderate score.
