Killing the Devil

This fantasy comedy centers on Kate, a mature woman seeking marriage. She begins a relationship with Mr. Devil, a gluttonous man who is indifferent to her heart or soul but deeply attracted to her talent for cooking. Kate soon discovers that her new partner is far more difficult to handle than she expected.

Produced in Czechoslovakia by Filmové studio Barrandov, the film was directed by Ester Krumbachová, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Jan Němec. The production features Jiřina Bohdalová in the lead role, alongside Vladimír Menšík, Ljuba Hermanová, and Helena Růžičková.
