Happy End

Set during the Asian financial crisis of 1999, this drama follows a married couple whose lives shift when the husband, Min-ki, loses his job. While Min-ki manages the household and cares for their daughter, his wife Bo-ra becomes the primary earner. Feeling trapped in a passionless marriage, Bo-ra begins an affair with a former college boyfriend. The conflict intensifies as Min-ki discovers evidence of the infidelity, leaving him devastated and unable to act due to his financial dependence on his wife.

The film was written and directed by Jung Ji-woo, marking the first of three listed films in the director's career.
