A computer expert named Paul Bradford is pulled into a digital realm by Mestema, an evil sorcerer who has sought a worthy opponent for centuries. To rescue his girlfriend, Gwen, Paul must survive a series of dangerous trials and battles against various supernatural creatures. Equipped with a device that transforms his computer into a weapon, he fights through several surreal worlds to eventually confront the wizard.
The film was released in 1984 and was co-directed by David Allen, John Carl Buechler, Steven Ford, Peter Manoogian, Rosemarie Turko, and Ted Nicolaou. It marks the first directorial effort for Allen, Buechler, Manoogian, Turko, and Nicolaou. For producer and co-writer Charles Band, this was the third of 19 films he directed, following Trancers and preceding Pulse Pounders. The cast features Jeffrey Byron, Richard Moll, and Leslie Wing, with appearances by members of the band W.A.S.P.
The movie received a mixed reception from viewers. On IMDb, it holds a rating of 4.6/10 based on 3,500 votes, while on TMDB it has a score of 4.9/10 from 87 votes.
