Ray left his hometown years ago after his partner Alice ended their relationship and took their daughter with her. When he learns that his ailing father wants to see his granddaughter, Ray returns home to track the girl down, only to find that Alice has remarried and that their daughter has grown into a promising runner. His attempts to reconnect with the family he lost gradually entangle everyone around him in a situation that threatens to upend their lives. The result is a comedy-drama about a man trying to repair old damage and making much of it worse along the way.

The film is an Irish production directed by Niall Heery, who wrote the screenplay with Brendan Heery. It runs eighty-eight minutes and was released in February 2014. David Wilmot plays Ray, Kerry Condon plays Alice, and Maisie Williams plays the daughter, Abbie. James Nesbitt appears as Frank McGunn, alongside Steven Mackintosh as Gerry and Patrick Gibson as Devon.

Audience response has been moderate: on IMDb the film holds a rating of 6.1 from roughly 1,400 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.3 from a much smaller pool of around thirty ratings. The two figures point to a similar, mildly positive reception rather than strong enthusiasm.
