Addams Family Values
Short description
A new baby arrives at the Addams household, and his older siblings Wednesday and Pugsley want nothing to do with him. The parents, Gomez and Morticia, hire a nanny named Debbie Jellinsky to look after the infant, and she quickly wins over the family, especially Uncle Fester. Wednesday grows suspicious of the newcomer and starts investigating her, but her snooping gets her and Pugsley sent away to a summer camp. Barry Sonnenfeld directed the film, his second behind the camera after The Addams Family in 1991 and the second in the series.
Anjelica Huston and Raúl Juliá return as Morticia and Gomez, with Christopher Lloyd as Fester and Christina Ricci as Wednesday. Joan Cusack plays Debbie, and Carol Kane appears as Granny. Paul Rudnick wrote the screenplay, and Scott Rudin produced. The production cost about 47 million dollars and took in roughly 49 million worldwide.
On IMDb the film holds 6.9 out of 10 from around 123,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 7 out of 10 from more than 3,400 votes. A critics' rating of 6.8 out of 10 from 115 reviews places it close to the audience scores.
