High Lane

Five friends set out for a climbing trip in the Croatian mountains, hoping for one last shared adventure. Among them is Loïc, Chloé's ex-boyfriend, whose presence creates tension from the start. When they find their planned route unusable, they ignore warnings and take on a closed high-mountain path instead. The climb proves harder and more dangerous than expected, and the group comes to realize they are not alone on the mountain. What began as a holiday turns into a fight for survival as an unseen attacker begins targeting them one by one.

High Lane is a 2009 French action-horror-thriller directed by Abel Ferry, from a screenplay by Louis-Paul Desanges and Johanne Bernard, produced by Alain Benguigui and Thomas Verhaeghe. It was Ferry's first feature, followed years later by Squealers. The cast includes Fanny Valette, Johan Libéreau, Maud Wyler, Nicolas Giraud, Justin Blanckaert and Raphaël Lenglet.

The film grossed about 2 million USD worldwide. On IMDb it holds a critics' rating of 6.3/10 based on five reviews, while on TMDB audiences give it 6/10 from 448 votes, a modest but comparable reception that suggests a genre film meeting limited expectations rather than a widely praised one.
