Cop

James B. Harris wrote and directed Cop, a crime drama set in Los Angeles and released in 1988. It follows Lloyd Hopkins, a homicide detective who becomes convinced that a brutal killing is not an isolated case but the work of one man operating over many years. His investigation draws him toward Kathleen McCarthy, a bookseller who has been receiving poems and flowers from an unknown admirer. As Hopkins pushes the case forward, his marriage falls apart and his superiors and colleagues turn away from him, leaving him increasingly on his own with an obsession he cannot set aside.
