Spinning Gold

Spinning Gold dramatizes the life of Neil Bogart, the record producer who co-founded Casablanca Records. Beginning with little more than mounting debt and a handful of unsigned acts, Bogart bets everything on a new label and on artists the established industry had overlooked. The film follows his efforts to build Casablanca into a force in 1970s music, and the strain that ambition places on his finances and his marriage to Beth Weiss.

The cast is led by Jeremy Jordan as Bogart, with Michelle Monaghan as Beth, Jay Pharoah as Cecil Holmes, Lyndsy Fonseca, Dan Fogler and Peyton List among the 39 credited performers. Timothy Scott Bogart directed and wrote the screenplay; Laurence Mark, Harvey Mason Jr. and Gary A. Randall produced. It is the first feature he directed, followed by Juliet & Romeo in 2025.
