Miles Teller once nearly died in a car accident himself, and just a year later, a friend of his died in a crash. Since then, the actor has worn a green bracelet in memory of his friend with the inscription "Buckle Up for Bo." The bracelet can be seen in all of Teller's films, unless it contradicts his on-screen character.
According to director Ben Yanger, filming took 24 days and the movie's budget was $6 million.
